URS OF KHAWAJA MOHAMMAD INAYATH HASAN SHAH (QSA)
We are wishing everyone a blessed 82nd URS (annual commemoration of passing) of our great grand shaykh, Shaikhul Awliya Hazrat Khawaja Mohammad Inayath Hasan Shah (QSA).
He was born on the 22nd of Muharram in 1302 A.H. in Bhainsori Sharif, Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was only 2 years old when his father passed ahead. He was raised by his older brother who later also became his spiritual guide (pir-o-murshid), the great Hazrat Khawaja Mohammad Nabi Raza Shah (QSA).
He was popularly known as "Chanda Mian" because of his beauty so the local people compared him to the moon. This beauty came from his physical appearance, piousness and cleanliness.
He was a great scholar and he wrote books to impart spiritual knowledge. One of the most famous books he wrote is Ejaz-e- Jahangiri, which is about the holy life of Hazrat Mohammad Nabi Raza Shah (QSA).
After Hazrat Mohammad Nabi Raza Shah (QSA) passed ahead, Hazrat Mohammad Inayath Hasan Shah (QSA) went to Darbar Mirzakhil Sharif in Bangladesh and met his grand shaykh, Shah Jahangir (II) Fakhrul Arefin Mawlana Abdul Hai (QSA). There it became very clear that Hazrat Inayath Hasan Shah (QSA) would be the Sajjada Nasheen (spiritual successor) of his spiritual guide (murshid). He returned to India and served humanity with great zeal and dedication.
Hazrat Inayat Hasan Shah (QSA) had a very special bond with our grand shaykh, Hazrat Mohammad Hasan Shah (QSA). They often travelled together to different towns and villages to call people to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'la. It was very well known that wherever they went, there was going to be langar (distribution of food), Meelad-un-Nabi ﷺ and Mehfil-e-sama.
Hazrat Inayath Hasan Shah (QSA) passed ahead on the 4th of Shawwal in 1360 A.H. (1941). His maqam (tomb) is in Bhainsori Sharif, Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, India.
