ADVICE ON CLEANLINESS

Sultan ul-Hind Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin Chisti Ajmeri (May Allah sanctify his secret) explained that cleanliness is very important in Islam, but this does not depend on externaly purity.

For the general public, wudhu (ablution) and a ghusl (bath) are the easiest things to do. But there is also inner cleanliness, which is the purity of the heart and soul.

This is even higher and requires sincerity in action. For the awliya (saints), it is not enough to be outwardly clean, but he or she must have purity of heart. This inner purity is acquired only when you are really sincere in improving yourself from within and work hard to free yourself from your ego (nafs).

You should protect your stomach from doubtful and unlawful food and be free from anger, hypocrisy, insincerity and loss of hope. You should wash your back in such a way that there may be no unlawful and doubtful dress. You should wash your limbs in such a way that you may have control over your eyes to prevent yourself from seeing anything you should not see. You should wash your hands in such a way that you are able to prevent your hands from touching anything unlawful (haram) and feet from going to an improper place.

O my Lord, for the sake of all your beloved prophets and saints, please fulfill all my needs and remove my pains

Ya Mere Allah Jumla Ambiya ke wasthey,

Hajathe Barla Meri Kul Awliya ke wasthey

Silsila Aaliya e Khushhaliya !!
